Katarzyna Kledzik-Balicka

Anattorney-at-law

I am anattorney-at-law and founder of a law firm specializing in family, inheritance and property law. I am born in Poznań, educated at the Faculty of Law of the Adam Mickiewicz University. I completed my attorney-at-law apprenticeship in 2005. and since then I have been running a law firm. My specialty is children’s rights and international family proceedings. I will advise you in making a decision on the selection of appropriate court proceedings: divorce, separation or perhaps regulating the child’s situation before a family court. If your family’s place of residence has been so far abroad, we will determine whether it is possible to divorce you in Poland; return the children to Poland, without the risk of applying the Hague Convention on the civil law aspects of child abduction and other acts of international law. If the children went to another country without your consent, I will take effective steps to return them to their previous place of residence. If possible, I will advise you to mediate or draw up a parental agreement in order to avoid legal proceedings or keep them to a minimum. I will explain to you how and when to divide the property after the end of the marital cohabitation, I have solved the complexities of real estate disputes as well as inheritance.

As a long-term member of the Committee for the Protection of Children’s Rights in Poland and the founder of International Social Service in Poland, an organization supporting people involved in international family conflicts, I always try to give priority to the best interests of the child. I constantly improve my qualifications by participating in international conferences and seminars, as well as training mediators, lawyers and other people involved in family matters. I also work for institutions established to organize foster care for children in Poland. I speak German and English.
